Since starting as an apprentice in 2003, my dream has been to run my own nursery. Over the years, I gained NVQ qualifications, a Foundation Degree, a BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies, and Early Years Professional Status, alongside 10 years of hands-on experience caring for children of all ages and needs before starting my family in 2014.
In 2015, after talking to local parents in Audley and Bignall End, my husband Andrew and I spotted a real need for quality childcare. On our 2nd wedding anniversary, we bought a plot on Chapel Street at auction. After nearly three years of planning and hard work, we opened Pear Tree Nursery in 2017 as a small, family-run setting offering a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment.
Demand grew quickly and we soon reached full capacity. In 2022, we successfully bid for Quarry House and opened a dedicated baby and toddler site in January 2023. With government funding in 2024, we added the Buds Room for 2–2½-year-olds.
Every room is thoughtfully designed with warm, neutral tones to create calm, home-from-home spaces where children can explore, play, and learn confidently.
