There’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing! Rain or shine, our children spend plenty of time outside every day, exploring, moving and discovering the natural world first-hand.
Our large outdoor spaces are perfect for running, climbing, balancing and building strong bodies. From digging to dancing with scarves, throwing balls and large-scale painting, every activity helps develop gross and fine motor skills, coordination and those all-important early writing muscles.
In our much-loved mud kitchen, imaginations run wild as little chefs whip up mud pies, magic potions and “perfume” using pots, pans and natural treasures. We embrace messy play and encourage sensible risk-taking so children grow confident, resilient and capable.
Children also enjoy regular outings into our local community – trips to the library, park, post office and church – helping them feel connected to the world beyond the nursery gates.
Fresh air, big movements and endless curiosity… that’s outdoor learning at Pear Tree! 🌧️☀️🌿
